In recent years, there has been a growing shift towards road safety and improving driving standards through on-road advanced driver training. From a business perspective, companies are seeing the importance of demonstrating their duty of care, and also ensuring a safer, more skilful fleet of drivers.
From a private motorist perspective, many drivers are now turning to advanced driver training for a range of issues, which include:
1. Regaining their confidence after a road traffic collision
2. Taking delivery of a new (often more powerful) car
3. Ironing out any bad habits following many years of driving
4. Having a specific driving phobia
5. Being advised by an insurer or solicitor to take an advanced driving course
Insurance Companies & Car Dealers – What About Your Customers…?
There is a shift towards motorists wanting to take their driving to a higher level, and to become safer, more fuel-efficient and conscientious on our busy roads. This trend raises some opportunities for businesses to consider, which could have a positive impact from a brand image and profitability point of view, including:
1. Car Insurance Companies – Insurance companies could offer advanced driver training for high-risk customers or customers who have had a significant road traffic collision. They could also offer the option of a half or full-day advanced driving course as a “bolt-on” when buying an insurance policy online.
2. Car Dealers and Showrooms – Car dealers or manufacturers could offer an advanced driving course to customers, either as a “bolt-on” extra, or for owners taking delivery of a high-performance model, or even those classed more “at risk”.
A Full or Half Day – To Help All Drivers:
Previously the main way to improve your driving was to take weekly training sessions with national driving charities and then book a test, before joining a local advanced driving group, where you pay a yearly subscription.
This is a good way to improve your driving, and great if you want to pursue an actual interest in an advanced driving or wish to take a test. However, this is not always ideal or convenient for busy people, who simply want a driver training session, with a professional advanced driving tutor.
This is where we offer something with a difference. We offer half and full-day advanced driving courses across the UK, where people can easily select ideal training dates, and preferred locations and then pay online.
From then a tutor will come to a customer’s home address or preferred location to start the training, which takes place in a customer’s own car or van, and can be taken Monday to Saturday (and sometimes Sundays too)
