Advanced & Defensive Driving Courses West Sussex
Our bespoke training is what separates us from other training providers. The thought of a rigid tick box, one size fits all driving course fills us with dread. They’re uninspiring, boring and don’t get the most from a driver.
We look at training the same way we look at our customers, whether business or private; each one is unique. Every driver is different with regard to driving, based on both internal and external elements. Internal elements are things such as personality type, attitudes, and concentration. External elements are things such as years of driving experience, mileage covered, positive and negative experiences etc.

We have provided bespoke driving courses for a number of companies and private clients based in West Sussex, including those in Worthing, Bognor Regis, Chichester, Arundel, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Crawley.
For all our bespoke driving courses in West Sussex, we provide training on a range of roads and different areas, which can include:
Motorway training – Although West Sussex does not have any motorways (apart from a small part of the M23 near Crawley), it does contain many fast A road routes where we can help to train drivers with motorway driving skills. From Chichester, we can join the A27 towards the M27 and the A3 and create a route that takes in Petersfield to the east and onto the A272 through to Haywards Heath. The A272 links the A24 from Worthing to Horsham, and the A23 links Brighton to Crawley. These routes are ideal for teaching drivers how to use motorways and dual-carriageways safely. Many drivers fear motorways; if you do not use them regularly, they can be very stressful with higher speeds and more lanes. The entering and exiting of junctions can be worrying, especially if you are surrounded by large lorries, which can cause some to miss their exit. Advanced motorway training can help with these issues and show you how scanning the road and making the right observations can improve your driving competency.
Rural Roads – With the south of West Sussex being mainly coastal, many rural roads link pretty villages and areas of Outstanding Beauty, such as the South Downs. From Shoreham by Sea, you can take the A27, where you can meet the A280. This route will take in many minor B roads towards the coast, and this takes you through Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis, Chichester, and the South Downs. We can create any routes for training throughout West Sussex, and many drivers do opt to take in rural driving to help with unfamiliar roads, many of which could be single-track. Understanding how to drive safely in rural areas is a must, as statistically, they are the most dangerous. Unfortunately, the younger drivers come to the most harm on poorly lit country roads. Rural driving will change with the seasons, from flooding to tree falls or icy and impassable roads in the winter. Knowing how to deal with adverse weather is essential, especially on minor roads where there is the possibility of hitting deep potholes or sliding into ditches when reversing to allow another car to pass.
Urban Training – Apart from the larger towns along the coast of Worthing and Chichester, Crawley is the largest urban area in West Sussex and is a great town to undertake urban driver training. Urban driving has its own set of issues, for example, rush hour traffic and inpatient drivers, many traffic lights and lanes, and the out-of-town retail parks to navigate. Crawley has a one-way system around the town centre with many A roads exiting from it. Urban driving can be stressful at the best of times. With a little extra driver training, you can better anticipate the actions of other road users, especially on large urban roundabouts or junctions without traffic lights. As well as slower traffic, you must keep an extra eye on pedestrians, cyclists and children crossing by schools. With some planning and road scanning observations, you can navigate urban routes confidently.
